Mentoring Program | TeamMates Mentoring of South Dakota
TeamMates is a school-based, one-to-one mentoring program that matches adult volunteers with students who have indicated interest in having a mentor. The focus of the mentoring relationship is for a mentor to build a positive relationship with a student as a caring adult figure to help them reach their full potential. Volunteer mentors focus on the positives in students to help them succeed. Students in TeamMates reflect improvement in attendance, behavior referrals, and academic performance. Duration: Meetings range from 30 - 60 minutes, once a week during the school year Time: During school hours Location: Physically at the school

Eligibility
Mentees must be students from 3rd grade - 12th grade. Mentors must be adults over 18 and able to pass a background check, provide 3 references, and attend mentor training.
