Promotes equal opportunity through the administration and enforcement of the Human Relations act, including investigation of discrimination complaints, initiating investigations, holding public hearings, offering technical assistance to those interested in affirmative action, and working with individuals, civic and professional organizations, and civil rights groups. The Division promotes equal opportunity in the areas of employment, property and housing, public accommodations, public services, education, disabilities, pregnancy, harassment, and reprisal.
