The South Dakota Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Society strives to: foster and maintain high professional and moral standards within accounting profession; unite CPA's; maintain high standards for certification; safeguard interests of CPA's; develop and improve accountancy education; establish a broader understanding of functions and responsibilities of CPA's; works toward and cooperates with other professions so business and public will be best served; and performs any and all lawful acts to carry out the objects and purposes.
