Provides emergency veterinary care and pet cremation grants to pet owners in the Black Hills who are experiencing financial hardship. Does not provide 100% funding and pet owners must pay a portion of their bill prior to the grant being paid to the vet clinic. All grants are paid directly to veterinary clinics and never to the applicant.
Does not assist with routine care, spay/neutering, chronic conditions, or euthanasia costs. In order to qualify for cremation grants, euthanasia must be deemed medically necessary by a licensed veterinarian.
