To promote proactive health education, intervention initiatives and strategies to address health issues affecting the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Lands. Services include: Health Education Promoting healthy lifestyles, Intervention/prevention services and Disease Prevention efforts, thru activities, workshops, conferences on the Standing Rock Tribal Lands. Health Education Awareness presentations of illness and or deaths that are caused by Tobacco, Alcohol and other drugs, Suicide, Injuries, Heart Disease and Stroke, Maternal and Infant Health, Cancer, Diabetes, Birth Control, Parenting Education, Abstinence Education, Stress Relief, Exercise, Nutrition, and HIV/Aids. Health Education activities to enhance Physical Fitness, Nutrition, School Health, Infection Diseases, Teen Age Pregnancy, Men and Women Wellness. Contact referral for ND Quits for assistance to refrain from use of Tobacco products. Commitment to working in partnership with other health programs, groups and communities to provide quality up-to-date services addressing health needs and priorities.
