Eligibility
Must be aged 65 and above or disabled prior to January 1st of the year in which the real property is assessed and the taxes levied thereon. Disabled means you are qualified to receive Social Security Disability benefits, Supplemental Security Disability benefits, or a veteran with a rated disability of 60% or higher. Sales tax refunds require one full year of residency and property tax refunds require five years of residency if you owned your home for fewer than three years
