The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Crohn's Disease is a group of conditions know as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). It is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastointestinal tract. Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine in which the colon becomes inflamed and develops tiny open sores, or ulcers, that produce pus and mucous.
