Description

Coordinates all agencies within the jurisdiction including public, private, local, tribal, state, federal government agencies and non-governmental organizations, to ensure the protection of life and property in the event of disaster: natural or man-made. terrorism, technological. Responsibilities includes making sure all responding Emergency Agencies have the training and tools to be able to plan, prepare, mitigate, respond and assist with recovery of the community. Dewey County Emergency Management works with First Responders, Schools, Governments, Faith Based Organizations, (VOADs) Volunteer Organizations Amid a Disaster i.e. Red Cross. This is not an emergency first response organization. If you are in immediate danger please call 911.
