Shriner's Hospitals for Children have a three-fold purpose: Treatment, Research, and Education. All care and services provided at Shriner's Hospitals regardless of patients ability to pay. Care is available in the following areas: Orthopedic - problems of the bones, joints, or muscles Burns - help is available from the first critical hours after the burn through reconstruction. Transportation is available for critically burned children Spinal Cord/Cleft Lip and Pallet - injuries and problems with the spine and mouth Transportation for Shriner's patients is available at no cost from Sioux Falls to the hospitals.
