Mail Suppression Service | ANA Accountability

The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) offers a Do Not Mail file called DMAChoice.org where consumers can register online for a nominal administrative fee for 10 years. This mail suppression service is meant to assist consumers in reducing the overall volume of prospect promotional mail, but it will not stop all promotional mail. Consumers will still receive promotional and donor mail from companies and organizations that they have a relationship with as a customer. Additionally, it will not affect promotional mail from companies that do not subscribe to this service. Consumers will still receive promotional mail from political campaigns, restaurants, certain charitable organizations, local companies, and other organizations that do not subscribe to this mail suppression service. It may take up to 90 days to see an overall reduction in promotional mail since some mail might already be in the mail stream. If consumers would like to be removed from certain catalogs or promotional mailings, then they should contact those companies individually. Also offers a Deceased and Caretaker Do Not Contact lists, Email Opt-Out service and Do Not Call lists for Pennsylvania and Wyoming. For more information about these services visit FAQ on website. Consumers may fill out complaint form at: https://www.ana.net/content/show/id/accountability-general-ethics-complaint or email detailed complaint summary to: [email protected].
