Freedom Pass | City of Sioux Falls Planning and Development Services

A free program available for youths 18 years of age and under year round. It is valid aboard any of Sioux Area Metro's regularly scheduled bus routes. ​To do so, the student must present a bus driver with a current middle or high school ID or SAM-issued Freedom Pass when boarding, which is available at no charge. Children 10 years and under do not need to show an ID to ride for free, but must be accompanied by an adult. Kids riding paratransit are also free with a school ID or Freedom Pass.

None with student ID.

Eligibility

Youth 18 years of age and younger can ride for free; Anyone ages 11 - 18 may ride unaccompanied by an adult; Anyone ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
