Geriatric Program | Human Services Center

​ Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services of medical and psychiatric natures to persons with physical conditions requiring nursing home care and psychiatric conditions requiring in-patient hospitalization. Services are delivered in such a way as to allow the patients maximum opportunity to function as independently as possible in activities of daily living. The goal is for the patients to reside in the least restrictive environment, including return to an appropriate community setting. This program operates with 3 units located in Spruce Terrace and Willow Terrace I buildings.

Office hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (CT), Monday - Friday, except Holidays The facility is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week Crisis assessments are done/accepted through an ER or community mental health center.

Application process

Admissions are primarily made through mental health involuntary commitment, court orders, or voluntary admission based on bed availability. Before voluntary admission, individuals are encouraged to consider less restrictive, community-based mental health services before seeking voluntary admission.
