Assesses feasibility studies, planning, and implementing of various transportation related activities, improves the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate's transportation capacities by networking with other governmental agencies, develops methodologies or ideas for funding the department, and implements and monitors policies for projects and/or program operation to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
The Tribal Roads Department provides snow removal and ice control services, constructs and maintains all tribal roads and individual homeowner driveways, and conducts some contract and sub-contract work to generate revenue for the department.
