The annual Rake the Town event is a city-wide event involving community groups and individuals who are willing to help older adults with leaf raking within the Sioux Falls city limits, Harrisburg, Tea, and Brandon. Rake the Town 2026 will begin Saturday, October 31 - Friday, November 6, 2026. Registration for Volunteers begins Monday, August 24, 2026 Registration for Homeowners begins Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Registration for Homeowners and volunteers ends on Friday, October 23, 2026 For Residents Needing Assistance: If you or someone you know qualifies for help, please reach out to Active Generations to register. If living in Sioux Falls, please complete our online registration form or call Workers on Wheels at 605-333-3317 If living in Brandon, please call the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce at 605-582-7400. ​ Volunteers are welcome to come and help out at the event.
