A multi-disciplinary approach to address the issues of suicide prevention in the Sioux Empire Area. Members include professionals from Avera Behavioral Health, Sioux Falls Police Department, Southeastern Behavioral Health, Veterans Hospital, Minnehaha County Sheriff Department, Moms Demand Action, Solace, University of Sioux Falls, Sanford Health, AFSP, Lost & Found, The Link, South Dakota Urban Indian Health, Helpline Center and Empire Mental Health.
The task force works together to develop and implement initiatives to raise awareness about suicide and mental health through prevention, intervention and education strategies for preventing suicide.
