Vermillion's governing body is made up of 9 members: 8 City Council members are elected from 4 wards, with 2 members representing each ward. Mayor is elected at-large and presides over City Council meetings City Council meetings are held at 7:00pm, on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers. Citizens have two opportunities to address the Council during council meetings. The City Manager's office prepares the agenda and council packets for the meeting, any person who has a proposed agenda item for discussion should contact the City Manager's office.
