Families with children (must have at least one child 17 years or younger) in need of holiday assistance living in Sioux Falls. All approved applicants will be sent information to shop at the Sharing Christmas Store in December. Need to have a specific referral source to qualify as well.
Monday, September 8, 2025 - - Applications available online due by 12:00midnight (CT), Monday, October 27, 2025. Families will receive an email by November 30, 2024 letting them know if they have been approved for the store. If approved, the email will have information on when to shop in the store.

Description

Coordinated by The Community Outreach and Center of Hope, provides Christmas gifts to families in need through the support of community churches, businesses, community organizations, and individuals. Families in need of assistance must have a relationship with and complete an application through one of the following referral agencies - Department of Social Services, Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership, Center of Hope, The Community Outreach, Bright Start, and Sioux Falls Housing, Sioux Falls Coalition, Minnehaha County Human Services, Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire, Compassion Child Care, Caminando Juntos, South Dakota Voices for Peace, Call to Freedom, Helpline Center, New Haven, Sioux Falls Housing & Redevelopment, LifeLine Children Services, Sioux Falls School District (specific school), or home church (specific church). Families may also apply online at the Community Outreach website.
