Museum admission is free for South Dakota Adults, State Historical Society Members and all children 17 and younger. $8.00 for out-of-state adults and $6.00 for out-of-state seniors.

The South Dakota State Historical Society operates five program areas - archaeology, archives, historic preservation, museum, and research and publishing.
