Open by appointment and for walk-in customers.

Fees

$28.00 for new ID/DL ($38.00 as of July 1, 2025); $33.00 for CDL License ($43.00 as of July 1, 2025), $15.00 for CDL Endorsement; $15.00 for duplicate ID/DL, $2.00 processing fee for credit card payments.

The South Dakota Driver's License Program is responsible for individuals that are applying for a South Dakota Driver's License or Identification Card. Now available in Spanish: driver license application, study manuals and written test. Driving part of the test is still given via English as the spoken language.
