Hope Squad | Helpline Center
An evidence-based, peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. Members of Hope Squad are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy and supportive peers with whom others feel comfortable. They are trained by Hope Squad advisors on how to notice, support, and intervene with peers who may be at risk. The main goals of the Hope Squad program are promoting a school and community culture of safety, connectedness, mental wellness, anti-bullying, and reducing mental health stigma. It reduces the risk of youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. They also respond to peer-to-peer disclosure of suicide risk. Hope Squad is present in schools nationally and internationally.
