Homeownership Program | Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity

Qualified applicants participate in financial & homebuyer education and volunteer on jobsites. Upon completion of program requirements, applicants obtain a low-interest or zero-interest loan through Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity (BHAHFH) or a third-party lender. Gaps in affordability are financed by BHAHFH through a subordinate, deferred mortgage. Qualifications include ability to pay an affordable mortgage payment, maintaining a debt-to-income ratio, and willingness to partner with BHAHFH.
