Equalization Office: The purpose is to locate, identify, and appraise all taxable property, in accordance with state laws and administrative procedures, while maintaining current information on the ownership and characteristics of property. Prepares and certifies the assessment roll and individual property assessments in accordance with state law. Planning and Zoning: Regulates land use and development within a county, ensuring orderly growth and protecting property values. Issues building permits, 911 addresses, and assist with applications for plats, conditional use permits, and variance.
