Provides blood donation services. Community Blood Bank (CBB) is hospital operated with a joint shared resource of Avera and Sanford Health Systems. The blood is collected locally, processed locally and transfused to save local lives. Donations can be given at the Bloodmobile or in one of the donor rooms located at Sanford Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD or Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. CBB is not affiliated with any other blood bank entity. CBB provides blood to over 43 local area hospitals (southeast South Dakota, northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota), including all of Sioux Falls.
