Fill out application on website. Application should be filled out by the primary person seeking financial assistance. One application per family.
Fees
Needs based. If household income is above $118,700, financial assistance may not be approved by committee.

Provides limited financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing hardship following the loss of a loved one to suicide. Assistance may be available for a variety of loss-related expenses including funeral and memorial service costs, burial or cremation expenses, and clean up service costs.

The Helpline Center answers the 2-1-1 information and referral line and 9-8-8 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for the state of South Dakota. There are also other support services available.
