Description

The Planning Department is responsible for managing the physical growth of the unincorporated area of the County. The Yankton County Comprehensive Plan is the official document used to guide decisions on land use matters. The Comprehensive Plan is designed to anticipate and deal with changes occurring within the County. The Planning and Zoning Department is also responsible for zoning administration and enforcement. The Zoning Administrator is responsible for reviewing various plans and permit request and the issuance of applicable permits.
