The Victim-Witness Assistance program explains court procedures and terminology, explains and assists with Victim Impact statements, helps inform victim of their rights under Marsys Law, offers to accompany to court proceedings, keeps victims up-to-date on status of case, Offer referrals to agencies, Help prepare victims to testify for court or grand jury, distribute victims' compensation applications, works as the link between victims and prosecutors and can also help victim get signed up for SAVIN.
