Description
Debt collectors and law firms which collect debts must abide by codes of conduct outlined in the Fair Debt Practices Act. Collector complaint enforcement helpline will file a complaint with collector if appropriate, often resulting in compensation to the debtor (victim). Process takes about one month on average with monetary fines and payments around $1000.00, depending on the nature of the violation.
