Food pantry provides groceries to individuals and families in need. Personal hygiene and grooming supplies may be available on a very limited basis.
Provides food to youth who are identified as homeless or at risk of houseless.
Provide meat, eggs, milk vouchers, produce, bakery items, canned goods, other non-perishable items, and hygiene supplies from Feeding South Dakota, local grocery stores and restaurants, and private donations to people in need.
Cougar Cupboard works to reduce food insecurity among USF students by providing students in need with food (non-perishable and fresh) and hygiene items.
Food Pantry for Marshall County and communities of Hecla, Houghton, and Claremont.
200 hams will be given away for people in the Mitchell area. Boxes given out at the giveaway are a ham and additional groceries to go with the meal. This giveaway is a drive-thru event. The parking lot will be closed until 4:00pm. Must be present to receive food items and no proxies. Limit to 2 people per vehicle.

Providing one week of supplemental food, based on household size, to people in Clay County. It is a client-choice food pantry in which guests can choose food for themselves and their families to fit their health and nutrition needs. Residents can visit the food pantry one time a month. The Vermillion Food Pantry is part of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
The Contact Center helps residents of Yankton County with the following: A food pantry Utility assistance, including past due and disconnect bills for water, lights, and heating Gasoline Partial rent Representative payee system Emergency medication assistance - Children's backpacks available. Typically available in August. 2024: Collaboration with United Way. August 15, 2024 at Contact Center 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Students must be enrolled in the Yankton School District. Deadline to register for a backpack is August 9, 2024. Contact Center does not help with any kind of deposit (rent, utility, etc).

Madison Street - 3rd Thursday Augustana Lutheran Church, 235 N. Prairie - 4th Thursday St. John Lutheran Church, 1912 W. 13th Street - 5th Thursday No distribution This program does not do delivery and is not an emergency food option.
Youth and community center. Meals are provided and children have a small library, games, and computer. The center hosts many classes and programs with learning opportunities for everything from Lakota art, music, building rockets, archery, hand games, horse camps, summer camps, and daily living skills. There is a community laundromat and food pantry open to the community.
