Habitat is the builder, the seller, and the lender in the real estate transaction, providing affordable financing that does not exceed 30% of the homebuyer's gross income. ​Homebuyer partners must complete 200 - 250 hours of sweat equity, which includes construction on Habitat homes and participation in homebuyer education classes. A residential program for adult males 18 years and older who have struggled with drugs or criminal activity. The 16-month program consists of 5 phases of induction, training, and Re-Entry. The first 10 months include the 4 phases of induction and training. The 5th and final phase of Re-Entry is 6 months in length and consists of further discipleship and assistance in transitioning back into the real world.
