The Love INC Clearinghouse takes over 1,200 requests for help each year. These calls are answered by caring volunteers who listen to understand people's situations and direct them to the most appropriate source of help. This can mean a referral to an area agency or services provided by area churches and volunteers through the Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse coordinates the following programs within Love INC. - Furniture: Furniture Ministry Team helps with pick ups and deliveries Financial stability - paying own rent for 3 months; adequate income to pay bills; current on bills, volunteer service required to receive furniture. Appliances: (washers and dryers) the Furniture Ministry Team helps with pick ups and deliveries Household items provided as available: pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and other small electrical appliances. Must live in residence before applying. Linens: includes bedding of all sizes of sheets and blankets

Services include spiritual services, utility bill expense assistance (on individual case basis), rent payment assistance (on individual case basis), mortgage payment assistance (on individual case basis), clothing, shelter, emergency services, character building programs, and offer some hotel assistance if funding allows. Please note - there is no physical homeless shelter, but shelter may be provided in the form of a hotel voucher (if funding is available).

Provides supplemental food items to those struggling with grocery expenses. Personal hygiene items may be available on a limited basis.

A non-profit organization of Christian volunteers who help economically disadvantaged families and individuals in the Sioux Falls and surrounding communities with furniture (including mattresses) free of charge to help them furnish their home. Furniture - referral process: - Be referred from a community agency (ex: Center of Hope, Lutheran Social Services, Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety , St. Francis House, Church, School, Hospitals, etc.) Have a completed referral form via the website or via Helpline Center Network of Care Have not used the services in the past 2 year. After the referral has been sent: The Furniture Mission will be calling to schedule an appointment - If clients are unable to pick up the furniture on there own there is usually a two week waiting list for delivery of furniture Deliveries will only be done via curbside service. Furniture Mission will leave the items outside, and applicants must finish the work of bringing it into the home/residence. The truck will wait for a 15 minute window after delivery time, and if no one is present, the furniture will be loaded back up.

Food pantry for Aurora County, providing food, personal hygiene items, and Thanksgiving food baskets during the holiday season.

Food pantry and clothing assistance available up to 1 time per month for those in need.

Services offered include nursing services (e.g. medication changes, health assessment, monitoring vitals, etc.), therapy (physical, occupational, and speech), personal care, homemaking, respite care, and hospice. Offers a Foot Care Clinic on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month by appointment.

Beds are available based on incoming donations. Call for more information. Participant will be notified via email if they are on a waiting list, etc.

Assistance is provided one time in a 60 day period. When available, personal hygiene supplies can be requested. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Those in need can find new and gently used items for a minimal cost. The store offers everything from furniture, household, and crafts items to clothing for men, women and children. Earnings from the store are used to directly assist those in need by helping pay rent, utilities, food, clothing, household, transportation for work and medical, prescriptions, and other necessities.

A monthly ecumenical worship service with children's activities. Each service is hosted by a ministry partner. Worship is followed by a community meal/picnic. Hygiene kits, and snack bags are available based on supply. Need not attend worship to receive the meal, hygiene kits, and snack bags. All are welcome. Need a ride? Assists with rent assistance for eviction notices, utility assistance for disconnect notices, hotel stays (does not provide a homeless shelter), gasoline or bus pass for stranded motorists or for medical reasons, minor car repairs, assistance after a disaster (i.e. house fire, flood, etc.), and prescription assistance for qualifying medications. The needs of the individual/family will be assessed, and certain documentation may be required (ex. driver's license). After business hours, The Salvation Army of Brookings County works with the Brookings County Sheriff or City Police to help individuals and families in the case of an emergency/immediate need.

Elder Angel Funds are available through a short application process to help low-income senior citizens with everyday expenses such as rent, utilities, groceries, clothing, medical co-pays, prescriptions, etc.

Pharmacy Services include prescription refills and transfers, immunizations, Medicare Part D counseling, and compounding. Also sells OTC medications, vitamins and supplements, hygiene and grooming supplies, and provides wellness classes. Customers can also download the PocketRx mobile app in which it will help them set medication reminders and request to refill medications 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Any student in need of basic daily essentials. Students can discuss their needs in confidence with any school staff member OR any school staff member can recognize a student's needs they would like to address. If the school does not currently have the needed items, the school will reach out to the MSD Caring Closet and volunteers will do their best to help fulfill the student's needs. Student's use and/or request of items is completely confidential.

MMA (Mobridge Ministerial Association) Thrift Store sells gently used household items and clothing. Helps people in need of clothing.

Clothe-A-Kid assists families in need or struggling financially to obtain school clothing. Participants can earn a $200.00 shopping experience at Kohl's by graduating from Life INC classes any quarter of the year (NOT summer only!). Participants must provide official documents providing guardianship of children ages 5 - 18.

An education-based system for earning material items for your child. Offers lessons applicable to to any stage of pregnancy up until age 2. Participation in the program rewards clients with incentive points that can be redeemed for material items.

Offers minor car repairs to single parent families in the Sioux Falls area.
