Volunteers of America hosts a Veteran Outreach Center Monday through Friday, where Veterans and their families can access immediate resources including: laundry room and necessary supplies. shower facilities and personal care supplies, computer resource center, community day room with coffee and snacks, and access to copier and mail center.

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House provides shelter, laundry facilities, and showers for homeless individuals. Beds are on a first come / first serve basis and cannot be reserved. Families with children under 18 can only stay in the family units. A locker program is available for individuals to rent at $10.00/week or $30.00/month. Guests may be eligible for "chore exchange" to earn a locker. Please speak to staff to learn eligibility requirements. Individuals who work overnight are permitted to sleep during the day with documentation of work schedule. These individuals can make arrangements with staff to be let into the shelter after their shift is over. Individuals who are intoxicated are able to stay at the House as long as they are able to take care of themselves. Guests need to be able to care for themselves in order to be able to stay at BDHH. They may use wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, knee scooters, etc. but must be independently mobile if using these items. A separate location also has ten units for shelter and services for families. Intake for Family Units: Call ahead to check on availability of family units. A background check (available for free through the Clerk of Courts) will be required as part of the application. After receiving a printed background check, ask for the Family Coordinator to set up an intake appointment.
