All out of town medical trips are on a 1st come 1st serve basis and are based on driver availability. Non-medical out of town trips available with 48 hour notice. Freeman Community Transit operates under the management of Brookings Area Transit Authority (BATA) in Brookings, South Dakota. Offers transportation services to anyone within Hutchinson County. Passengers can schedule rides to work, school, medical appointments, shopping trips, and more. Passengers must schedule rides at least one day before transportation is needed. Offers door-to-door service. Freeman Community Transit is a Medicaid provider, and medical transportation may be covered by eligible Medicaid recipients.

Offers residential behavioral health support to young and old to help individuals cope and thrive in a nurturing environment. Services and amenities include 24/7 care under a registered nurse, private rooms, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, activities to encourage mental and physical wellbeing, personal laundry and housekeeping services, nutrition services, supervised transportation, individualized plans of care, professional guidance for financial support, and payee services. Takes children to summer school, Splash Central, summer activities, etc. Also offering a PT Passport to children who live within a 3 mile radius of the city for $100 for June, July and August. PT School: Reduced monthly fare for children to and from school PT Express: During the months of January, February, and March, seniors can ride to unlimited destinations for $2.50 per day.

Serves passengers within Brandon city limits with a demand response public transit system. Rides must be scheduled at least one day in advance, by calling and leaving a message (with name and phone number) if a dispatcher is unavailable and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Brandon Transit is owned by city of Brandon and is managed by ROCS (Rural Office of Community Services).
