The City of Sioux Falls has two leaf and branch drop-off sites to assist with fall and spring cleanup. - West Side of Sioux Falls: - 100 N. Lyon Boulevard (East side of Lyon Boulevard, across from Billion Chevrolet). Access is available: From W. 12th Street to N. Lyon Boulevard From W. Madison Street to N. Lyon Boulevard - East Side of Sioux Falls: - 1015 E. Chambers Street: (West of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility). Access is available:From N. Cliff Avenue to Chambers Street. The driveway just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be the only access point. Spring leaf and small branch drop: Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Sunday, May 26, 2024 Fall Drop off dates: Saturday, September 21, 2024 - Sunday, December 1, 2024 The cost is free for cars, pickups, full-size SUVs, vans, or two-wheel trailers. Lawn service companies, and commercial businesses will not be accepted at the temporary drop-off site and must go directly to the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill. Branches must be placed in a pile separate from leaves. Leaves must be removed from plastic bags. All loads must be tarped or in an enclosed vehicle. NOT ACCEPTED: Lawn service/commercial businesses plastic bags large trees stumps rubble household garbage Pumpkins will also be accepted at the drop-off sites. Free disposal of pumpkins November 1, 2024 - November 26, 2024. A separate roll-off container will be available for pumpkins at each site. Pumpkins will need to be free of candles, yarn, stickers, googly eyes, and any form of plastic to be accepted.

Sioux Falls has six ice rinks around the city. Each ice rink has a warming house, limited concessions, vending and skate rentals available. Hours may change, subject to weather. Hours of operation are for the warming house. Those who have their own skates are welcome to skate during normal park hours. **Parents of small children should be especially aware of weather conditions and warming house hours before leaving children at the outdoor rinks when weather conditions are extreme. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by someone 16 years of age or older.
