The responsibilities of the Bennett County Emergency Management includes develops and maintains the county plan for reacting to emergencies; during an actual emergency, the director coordinates the action; and trains other agencies to respond to emergencies. ADA accessible vehicles are available to passengers with a disability. Medical appointments to Rapid City/Ft. Meade are pre-scheduled between 10:00am - 2:00 pm MT/11:00am - 3:00pm CT before date of appointment. All out of town medical trips are on a 1st come 1st serve basis and are based on driver availability. Non-medical out of town trips available with 48 hour notice. Medicaid is an accepted form of payment for medical trips. There are many transportation grant opportunities available through RCPT. Call for more information. RCPT coordinates with all other transit agencies in South Dakota and can facilitate a ride statewide. Also, is Jefferson Lines associated.

The Auditor is the keeper of County records and acts as a bookkeeper of County business. The Auditor is responsible for County Commissioner meetings including scheduling, agenda, business follow-up; Preparing the County's budget, Audit bills or other claims against the County and prepare the warrants in payment of these bills, Figuring the mil levy, and Head election officer of the County. Welfare services include medical assistance, utilities assistance for disconnect notices on heating bills, and burial/funeral assistance. All assistance is based on eligibility guidelines. All applicants are required by law to repay the county for assistance given, per SDCL 28-14. County is payer of last resort after all other resources have been utilized.

Outpatient mental health services for older adults experiencing mental health challenges associated with aging. Patients develop coping and communication skills they need to live a happier and healthier life. Services offered include a confidential, comprehensive assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and after-care planning. Also set aside time individual psychotherapy and check each participant's vitals. Telehealth is available for patients to participant via the internet.
