Investigates deaths that are not clearly due to natural causes, such as sudden, unexpected, or unnatural deaths. Determines the cause and manner of death through investigations, which may include autopsies, scene examinations, and witness interviews. Additionally, identifies the deceased, notifies next of kin, and ensures proper release of personal effects.

The Auditor is the keeper of County records and acts as a bookkeeper of County business. The Auditor is responsible for County Commissioner meetings including scheduling, agenda, business follow-up; Preparing the County's budget, Audit bills or other claims against the County and prepare the warrants in payment of these bills, Figuring the mil levy, and Head election officer of the County. Welfare services include medical assistance, utilities assistance for disconnect notices on heating bills, and burial/funeral assistance. All assistance is based on eligibility guidelines. All applicants are required by law to repay the county for assistance given, per SDCL 28-14. County is payer of last resort after all other resources have been utilized.

Providing hospital services including ambulance, acute care, emergency room, swing bed, cardiac rehabilitation, and radiology. This is also a medication disposal site.

Services include issuing marriage licenses, land records from the late 1800's - present, vital records including birth, death, and marriage, and recording of all documents pertaining to real estate such as: plats, deeds, mortgages, and contracts.

Services consists of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

Services for the clinic include family medicine, family planning, geriatric medicine, pediatrics, lab services, podiatry, pediatrics, preventative medicine, physical exams for women and children, and X-ray services.

The County Extension Office is the base of the 4-H Youth Program Advisor. It provides youth development education via the South Dakota 4-H program and other youth enrichment learning experiences at the community level as well as information including fact sheets, feature articles, podcasts, webinars and more is accessible to constituents through website www.igrow.org.

Providing pharmacy services such as intravenous medication, medication review/management, drug information, patient counseling, and unit dose drug packaging/distribution. This is a medication disposal site.

Services include collecting fees for property taxes and vehicle licenses (cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles, snowmobiles, and boats), parking permits application and issuing for individuals with a disability, and application assistance for tax reduction / rebate programs for individuals who are disabled and / or elderly (65 or older).

Service is available in the local area of Martin and trips to Rapid City for medical appointments. Public transportation is available in the Martin area. ADA accessible vehicles are available to passengers with a disability. Medical appointments to Rapid City/Ft. Meade are pre-scheduled between 10:00am - 2:00 pm MT/11:00am - 3:00pm CT before date of appointment. All out of town medical trips are on a 1st come 1st serve basis and are based on driver availability. Non-medical out of town trips available with 48 hour notice. Medicaid is an accepted form of payment for medical trips. There are many transportation grant opportunities available through RCPT. Call for more information. RCPT coordinates with all other transit agencies in South Dakota and can facilitate a ride statewide. Also, is Jefferson Lines associated.

Acts as an advocate and provides assistance to military veterans and their dependents in determining eligibility and applying for various federal and state benefits, such as service-connected compensation, non-service connected pension, outpatient and hospital medical treatment, guaranteed home loan certificates, education and on-the-job training benefits, burial benefits, survivor benefits, referral information, as well as many others.

Provides home health services including the following: intermittent skilled care in the home, personalized care designed to meet the needs of each patient, disease process and management teaching, medication teaching and assistance, all systems assessments which include vital signs every visit, and light housekeeping.

Services provided are - Coordinates all agencies within the jurisdiction to include public, private, and non-governmental organizations to ensure the protection of life and property in the event of threatened or actual natural disasters, terrorism, technological, or man-made events. ​The responsibilities of the Bennett County Emergency Management includes develops and maintains the county plan for reacting to emergencies; during an actual emergency, the director coordinates the action; and trains other agencies to respond to emergencies. ​County emergency Managers can make contact with volunteer fire departments in their County. The South Dakota Driver's License Program is responsible for individuals that are applying for a South Dakota Driver's License or Identification Card.

Outpatient mental health services for older adults experiencing mental health challenges associated with aging. Patients develop coping and communication skills they need to live a happier and healthier life. Services offered include a confidential, comprehensive assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and after-care planning. Also set aside time individual psychotherapy and check each participant's vitals. Telehealth is available for patients to participant via the internet.

Represents the interests of the state in prosecution of adult and juvenile crime and providing legal advice and representation to the county officials, department heads, and staff. The State's Attorney Office cannot represent private parties or give them legal advice.
