Allows qualifying individuals who are looking for work to perform community service hours to earn bicycles, IDs, Birth Certificates, work shoes/boots and other needs to overcome barriers to employment.

Provides, at no cost, a certified copy of a person's South Dakota birth certificate upon application and proof of homelessness. This is a one-time benefit. Individuals must complete and submit both the Vital Records Request form and the Affidavit of Homeless Status (must be signed in front of a notary with both required parties present) for a Certified Copy of a Birth Certificate. The standard application requirements apply and each applicant must provide applicable identification as stated on the application.
