The Lennox Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Lennox.

Programs of the police department include ​Crime Stoppers: a non-profit organization of concerned citizens that provides the public with an anonymous means to relay information concerning criminal activity to law enforcement. Cash rewards are paid for tips that result in the arrest or indictment of those responsible. ​DARE: presented in the Yankton elementary schools. ​Pet Licensing: annual required licensing of dogs and cats. ​Animal Control, ​Citizens Academy, ​Medication Disposal: shares year-round prescription drug take-back site with Yankton County Sheriff's Office; and the ​Sex Offender Registry.

Community Resource Officers (CRO) help resolve community-oriented policing issues and to make connections with the City of Sioux Falls diverse community.

Houses offices for the finance office, administrative assistant, development & marketing coordinator, and Freeman Police Department. The City of Freeman is run by a 6-member city council & mayor, with meetings typically scheduled on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month. The city departments that provide for city services, including sanitation & water, are run through the government office.

The Sturgis Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Sturgis.

Responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Brandon. Sioux Falls Metro (911) dispatches for Brandon. Strives to increase safety and reduce crime. Offers year-round prescription drug take-back sites that are available on site. Members of the public may drop off any unused prescription or nonprescription drugs as well as any "sharps," such as needles or epi-pens. Participates in the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program - a partnership between law enforcement, managers, and tenants to help keep drug and criminal activity out of rental properties. Maintains minimum standards for tenants and managers to participate in the program. Processes Peddler's License applications.

The Beresford Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Beresford.

Provides emergency response, crime prevention, community policing, traffic enforcement, investigations and a year round drug take-back site.

911 emergency operators, adult detention, juvenile detention, and law enforcement services with jurisdiction within the exterior boundaries of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.

The Hot Springs Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Hot Springs.

The Vermillion Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Vermillion. Community programs include DARE, Report It, ALICE, Red Tag Nuisance Abatement, Ride Along program, and year-round prescription drug take-back site.

The Lower Brule Agency is located at Lower Brule, South Dakota, and services the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe and Tribal Lands in Lyman and Stanley counties in central South Dakota. Lower Brule Law Enforcement Office covers the Lower Brule Sioux Tribal Lands. The Bureau of Indian Affairs - Office of Law Enforcement has overall responsibility of enforcement of Federal and Tribal Laws within the Lower Brule Sioux Tribal Lands.

The Springfield Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Springfield.

Services of the Madison Police Department include national prescription drug take back day, held twice a year. Unwanted medications may be dropped off at the police department throughout the year, call for more information, National Night Out and DARE program.

Work with immigrants in the Sioux Falls area to ease the transition from their home countries. The class teaches them the laws and rules of the City of Sioux Falls plus how to be good neighbors and citizens in the community.

Provides police services for the Yankton Sioux Tribe.
