Provides a practical means by which veterans organizations throughout the state may effectively contribute to the betterment of all veterans in three principle phases, as follows: Legislation affecting veterans and their dependents. Concern for the general programs for all veterans and their dependents and all veterans' organization, principally hospital, labor and social. Make public information in behalf of all veterans and their dependents and veterans organizations represented and establish a system of public relations for this purpose.

Provides assistance to victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving crashes. Services may include emotional support, victim events, Support groups, Literature, Guidance through the justice systems, Information and referrals, and 24-hour national Help Line for victims of substance impaired driving crashes. ​ MADD Victim Advocates may be able to provide assistance in completing applications for Crime Victim Compensation, a state program that assists with expenses that have occurred due to a crime. They may offer court accompaniment, court case monitoring, and assistance in preparing Victim Impact Statements as well as parole hearing statements, and other services. Support services are available for adult and children victims, survivors and families and friends who have been impacted by an impaired driving crash.

The ACLU of South Dakota, a national chapter of the ACLU, is a non-partisan organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of civil liberties and civil rights. Believes that the freedoms of press, speech, assembly and religion, and the rights to due process, equal protection and privacy, are fundamental to a free people. Seeks to advance constitutional protections for groups that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; women; and LGBTQ+ and Two Spirit people.
