LSS Center for Financial Resources provides financial counseling and education, housing resources, and debt management.
Services include: Financial Education, Financial Management/Budget Session, Debt Management Program, Bankruptcy Counseling, Credit Report Consultation, and Student Loan Consultation. We also offer Housing Resources including: First-Time Homebuyer Sessions, Homebuyer Education Seminars, Homeowner Financial Management Sessions, Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention, and Rental Housing Counseling and Education.
Meets with clients to review their spending plan and overall financial situation. This includes creating and reviewing a spending plan, taking a look at any debts they have, identifying the cause of any financial issues, and exploring options and solutions specific to their situation.
Lutheran Social Services does not consolidate debt. The debt management plan allows clients to make one monthly payment through the LSS agency to their creditors. This helps clients pay off debts on a budget that works for them. If this is not a realistic option, the certified credit counselors will work to create an action plan to explore other alternatives.

A resource for renters, potential homeowners, lenders, landlords and other housing professionals to utilize to understand their rights and responsibilities. The ombudsman will answer questions and act as a mediator to help find an answer that both parties can accept. The ombudsman will also coordinate awareness of fair housing statewide.
The ombudsman will listen to both sides of the story and work to resolve the dispute. If the dispute is unresolved and potentially involves housing discrimination, the ombudsman will assist in completing a complaint form with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
A resource for people who have questions related to having a companion animals - typically in a rental situation where the landlord does not allow pets.
