The Hamlin County Weed Supervisor helps control weeds and other pests throughout the county. Duties include Inspecting for noxious weeds and/or pests such as insects, spraying to control noxious weeds and invading pests, and Sitting on the County Weed Board.

The County Weed Supervisor helps control weeds and other pests throughout the county. Duties include inspecting for noxious weeds and/or pests such as insects, spraying to control noxious weeds, invading pests, studying and explaining State and Federal legislation, regulations, and procedures. The County Weed Supervisor is a sitting member on the County Weed Board.

Controls state and local noxious weeds, responds to infestation complaints, recommends control measures, and distributes flea beetles for biological control of leafy spurge. Also helps communities control mosquitos to prevent diseases such as West Nile.

The Custer County Weed and Pest Supervisor's job is to control State and Local noxious weeds; respond to infestation complaints; input and recommend control measures; control noxious weeds on county roads, right of ways and other easements; and distribute flea beetles for biological control of leafy spurge.

Vector means anything that can spread a disease. This office focuses primarily on insect vectors, such as mosquitoes. However, many other insect related concerns also come through this department.
