A county wide service owned and operated by the City of Flandreau. It offers Emergency Medical Services provides a 24-hour Advanced Life Support Ambulance for all City of Flandreau residents and visitors to the City. Provides stand-by services for fires, athletic events, and other community functions. The ambulance team can also provide CPR/First Aid Training, car seat checks, and other community education.

The Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department serves and protects the community of Sturgis as well as a 580 square-mile area of Meade and Lawrence Counties. The Ambulance Service serves the residents of Sturgis as well as communities in western Meade County and eastern Lawrence County including lower Boulder Canyon.

Services include audiology, purchased referred care, dietitians, emergency department, eye care, pharmacy, physical therapy, public health nursing, radiology services, pain management, OB/GYN, prenatal care, inpatient care, laboratory, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), medicine, and nursing.
