Library services include fiction and non-fiction reading materials to borrow, 3 public computers, free Wi-Fi (must get password from Librarian), access to e-books and digital audiobooks through the South Dakota State Library, monthly story-time and crafts for children, and other adult classes available (crafts, cooking, etc.).

The South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind helps individuals who are blind or have low vision build the skills they need to live independently and confidently. Trained staff provide personalized instruction designed to support safety, self-reliance, and meaningful participation in daily life. Services include: Computer Training: Instruction in using computers with assistive technology, such as screen readers, magnification, and Braille displays, to improve digital skills and access to information. Orientation and Mobility: Training in safe and effective travel skills, including techniques for navigating environments with or without a white cane. Communication Skills: Lessons in Braille and other communication methods to support reading, writing, and information access. Home Management: Teaching essential daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and organizing household tasks. Manual/Creative Arts: Hands-on instruction in the safe use of hand and power tools to build practical skills and self-confidence. Low Vision Services: Access to low-vision evaluations and adaptive devices that support reading, writing, and daily tasks.

As the only library in Lead, it is the primary source for books and literature publications, periodicals, local, regional and worldwide history, children's books, children's events, DVDs and videos, and Free Internet and WIFI services. Everyone is invited to visit and use one of the many reading areas and to have a cup of coffee.

Provides interdisciplinary care, medical devices and products, and rehabilitative care through evidence-based treatment. Services include: audiology, blind rehabilitation, Veteran sports programs and clinics, wheelchair games, physical medicine and rehabilitation, occupational therapy, prosthetic and sensory aid services, speech pathology, chiropractic care, orthotic and prosthetic services, physical therapy, kinesiotherapy, and recreation therapy. Provides individual assessments, equipment sales, installation and training of assistive technology. Assistive technology devices include electronic and non-electronic magnification devices, aids for daily living, communication equipment, and mobility equipment. Some short term equipment loans and flexible financing for purchasing devices may be available. Also helps identify other resources, devices and promote policy change that will help people acquire devices and services.

Serves children with visual impairments/vision loss by providing: ​On-campus services in Aberdeen which include regular and special education and transition programs during the nine month school year; daily opportunities to learn and practice skills of blindness; day program for students who live within driving distance and a residential program for those who live at a distance; and six weeks of summer programming focused on the skills of blindness. ​Statewide consultation services include outreach services for public school students; educational evaluations for public school students; in-service education for teachers and service providers; and educational materials for families and schools.
