An online support group for those who have had a stroke or other brain injury/illness. The main focus of the group is to provide opportunity to socialize with others, provide resources, and offer support. This group is facilitated by a speech pathologist, however, no therapy is performed during meetings.

Individual counseling for those 18 and older. Areas of focus include: adjustment to living with a brain injury, caregiver concerns and fatigue, adjustment to change and life transitions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, wellness and self-care, women's issues, communication, and stress management. Telehealth sessions available.

HLC211 Helpline Center

Provides various programs for catastrophically disabled veterans and other people with disabilities. Services include, but are not limited to the following areas: Service to veterans Veterans service officer - who is able to assist in obtaining benefits Advocacy programs for veterans and people with disabilities Legislation Peer counseling - for persons with physical disabilities and especially new spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis. Sports and recreational activities - Assists veterans that have physical disabilities with getting involved in sports activities such as bowling, lacrosse, boccia ball, fishing, skiing, trap shooting, and hunting. Provides care to children and young adults who are healing from brain injury with a focus on overall health and recovery of skills lost by providing inpatient therapy services and 24-hour medical care. Treatment plans are developed incorporating patient and family goals to achieve the best outcome.

Supports individuals and families who experience the life-changing effects of brain injury. Offers user-friendly information about brain injury and assists in locating the specific rehabilitative, legal, financial, and other support services critical to maximizing individual recovery needs. Provides information about: local treatment and rehabilitation options, funding for services, legal issues, resources for veterans, living with brain injury, returning to school and work, coping with changes, and planning for your future.

Provides nursing facility care. Nursing facility services provide 24/7 long-term care in a home-like environment with individualized care and daily activities to address care for the whole person - physically, socially, and spiritually. Also provides long-term rehabilitative care in the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit for those who have sustained a traumatic brain injury and the Challenging Behavior Unit for individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors.

Any individual who has had a brain injury is welcome to attend. The support group is also available for family members. Brain injuries can be obtained from accidents, falls, multiple concussions, tumors, stokes, lack of oxygen, epilepsy and Parkinson's, to name a few. The brain injury may be a recent injury or one that has been acquired for many years.
