Finds homes for animals in need in the Brookings Community. Services include animal adoption, pet food and litter bank, microchip services, and community education and involvement. All animals receive necessary medical care, spay/neuter, and vaccinations prior to adoption.

An adoption center for abandoned and surrendered pets. Services offered include pet adoptions, abuse and cruelty calls regarding local pets, presentations on pet education and care, tours, house the lost pets brought in by Animal Control and by private individuals, microchipping, and online lost pet reporting.

Animal License: Per the city ordinance, all animals need to be licensed. Licenses can be purchased at HSBH or a participating veterinarian. Please bring a rabies immunization certificate and documentation regarding if the animal is altered or not altered. Licenses need to be renewed on a yearly basis. Please call for more information on animal license fees. Microchipping: Permanent identification for your pet in case they are lost. Microchipping only takes a couple minutes and helps to increase the chance that your lost animal will be returned home. Please call for information on microchipping fees.
