In school mentoring program to positively impact area youth through fostering one-to-one friendships with caring adult mentors who help facilitate positive character. By matching adult volunteers with a young youth in the community, one-on-one relationships between the Big Friend and Little Friend, enriches the lives of the young person and their family.  Accomplished through strengthening communication, life skill and team building, strengthening the entire family using community resources, hope and inspiration, and relationships with caring adult mentors.
A free, relationship enrichment program open to the public. It serves individuals, couples, and families. The goal of the program is for participating adults to develop the skills they need to experience healthy relationships and improve their path toward financial wellness and employability. ​Relationship education and family support topics include: communication skill, controlling emotions, conflict resolution, making wise choices, setting life goals, mentorship, stress management, advocacy, and parenting strategies. ​Financial wellness/employability services include: financial literacy, job search assistance, money management, joint budgeting, interview practice, resume coaching, and job skills and interest assessments.

USucceed matches high school students with adult mentors. They are matched through graduation. Mentors provide additional support as youth navigate through high school. Mentors and students meet one-on-one for four hours a month. Group activities, events, and service projects are held monthly for the matches to take part in. USucceed youth are also eligible to apply for scholarships provided specifically for youth participating in the program.
Serves young people (Littles) from age 5 - young adulthood in one-to-one mentoring friendships with volunteer mentors (Bigs). Bigs and Littles hang out for 4 hours a month (scheduled on their own time) doing normal, everyday activities, like seeing a movie, doing homework, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out! Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support Specialist who is always there to provide resources and support specific to the Little's age. With a Big in their life, Littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program are empowered to ignite their potential as they grow in their self-esteem, earn better grades, and develop a lifelong friendship with their Big.

Program for single parents working toward a college degree. People in the program receive up to $4,800 in funding, and are also matched with a mentor to help support them toward their goals. 73% of the parents who participate in our program make it to graduation. To qualify, must be a single parent within two years of obtaining a college degree.

The CWOY Support Navigator program is designed to provide support for American Indian youth, adults, and their families in the He Sapa area who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. CWOY Support Navigators act as mentors, advocates, and resource guides for American Indian youth, adults, and families needing support for their healing and personal growth. The Sioux 52 Mentorship Initiative seeks to unify Sioux Falls area non-profit, business, and faith communities in order to create a universal, significant and long-lasting commitment to mentoring in our city. The goal is to recruit 5,200 mentors by 2026 and for the City of Sioux Falls to become known as the City of Mentoring. Mentoring in our community truly makes a difference and changes lives for the better. STEPS: Provides outreach and transportation for youth who need help removing barriers to housing, education, self-care, and community connections. This program also serves youth who are considered houseless (which could mean frequent runaway, couch surfing with friends or family, unaccompanied youth, living in hotels or in shelters). Safe Passage: Provides safety for youth as they travel to and from school through a trusted adult presence designed to be there for the youth and their families. The program helps identify any barriers each family faces to get their children to school, after-school programs, events, and partner programs in a timely and safe manner. Safe Passage allows the development of relationships with youth and their parents, intervenes in and mediates potential conflicts, and connects youth and their support systems to needed resources. High Risk Intervention (HRI): Program focuses on redirecting youth with a history of engaging in violent or gang-related behaviors into more positive youth-related activities.

A referral-based program offered to girls, ages 5 to 18, with unmet health needs. This program addresses physical, mental, and social health needs by connecting girls with service providers in the community. Girls are referred to the program by school counselors, teachers, parents, and health and social service agencies. Each girl is assigned an advocate who will: - Connect her with the appropriate medical, dental, and mental health care services within the community. - Offer referrals for tutoring or other services to meet her individual needs. - Work closely with her family and school to ensure her success. - Assist her in learning and developing patterns of behavior that will enhance her health. - Emphasize the value of regular school attendance and good study habits. - Instill the importance of responsibility, self-esteem, and community involvement.

Climb, previously known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sioux Empire, matches volunteer mentors with children ages 7 to 14 and meet in the community. Matches are supported by an LSS case manager who works to ensure a successful experience for all. Children can start meeting with a Climb mentor after they turn 7 years old, and must be under the age of 14 to enroll as a new participant. Established matches can continue to meet after the child turns 14. Climb matches meet for 4 hours per month in the community. To help with this, LSS provides an activity card that offers discounts to program participants and hosts monthly events that all matches are invited to attend.
Campus Kids is a staff supervised site based mentoring program specifically for children waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister. It meets once a week at the South Dakota Mines campus and is led by college students Campus Kids Leaders.
Adventure gear resale outfitter where youth receive life and employment skills from adult mentors in a positive and safe environment. The proceeds fund the life skills youth program. Youth & Family Services Boys' Health Program is offered to boys, ages 5 - 18, who may be at risk of developing physical, mental, or social health problems. Boys are referred to the program by school counselors, teachers, parents, health service providers, and social services agencies. Once enrolled, boys work closely with advocates to set and attain individualized goals. The Boys' Health Program serves boys and young men in Rapid City with health-focused case management, education, advocacy, and prevention services. The Boys' Health Program helps lay the groundwork for lifestyle habits and attitudes that will strongly influence boys' health and behaviors as adults.

Builds and supports consistent and encouraging mentoring relationships that challenge the growth and expand possibilities for both Mentors and Mentees in Brookings County, SD. The nonprofit provides both 1:1 community-based mentoring and small group opportunities for K-12 grade students, following evidence-based best practices in youth mentoring. BCYMP Mentors, staff and program volunteers are also trained in Adverse Childhood Experiences and the Developmental Relationships Framework.
