The Home Essential Repair programs are efforts to serve low-income homeowners who struggle to maintain their homes and keep aging community members in their homes for as long as possible. This program focuses on exterior home repair services such as painting, minor exterior repairs, landscaping, weather stripping and exterior cleanup. There is also interior repair and renovation. The assistance this program offers is separate from the home build program. Qualified candidates must be able to pay and partner on the project, as they work alongside our professionals and other volunteers. Projects are completed using donated materials, and low-interest loans (if needed) so that a homeowner can live safely and independently their homes. The Home Preservation program is offered to assist homeowners who are physically unable to complete repairs on their own or may need assistance in funding repairs. This assistance allows homeowners the ability to stay in their home for further years and continue to build equity and pride in the home. The Home Preservation program has a target audience of adults aged 65 and older who require assistance to age in place.

Brings volunteers, contractors, families, and community members together to provide safe, affordable housing solutions for qualified low-to-moderate income individuals or families. Home Repair Project helps homeowners with minor to moderate exterior repairs and accessibility improvements to help them safely remain in their homes. Projects may include ramps, handrails, steps, doors, windows, painting, siding repair, and exterior safety improvements. Habitat Homeownership offers qualified applicants the opportunity to purchase an affordable home. Applications are accepted during designated open enrollment periods only. There is no ongoing waiting list. Services are dependent on funding availability, volunteer capacity, and seasonal construction schedules. Project availability may be limited. Note: this location does NOT have a ReStore.

Matches senior volunteers with those seeking assistance. Services provided include personal care and daily living assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, doctor appointment accompaniment, dementia/Alzheimer's care, respite care, pet care, and companion and homemaker services.

Builds homes for people in need: Habitat for Humanity builds houses in partnership with volunteers and people in need and then sells the homes to those people in need, known as partner families. Partner families are selected by Habitat based on: their need for housing; their willingness to partner with Habitat; and the ability to pay a 0% interest mortgage. Assists in restoration on exterior of existing homes for people in need: Volunteers (including youth groups), are organized and recruited by Hub Area Habitat for Humanity to assist with the following projects for income eligible homeowners including: Exterior painting or siding, Minor exterior home repairs, or Yard work including: weeding, trimming shrubbery, raking leaves (yard rehabilitation, not lawn mowing). This does not include tree trimming of taking down a tree. Help Build It Center: a store where items can be donated and purchased at discounted prices. Items consist of: light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, furniture, appliances, carpet, wood and tile flooring, windows and doors, paints and stains and other miscellaneous home goods.

BAHFH offers an opportunity of homeownership to families that otherwise couldn't afford to purchase one on their own. Applicants must have a need for better housing, the ability to pay an affordable mortgage and willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity through our "sweat equity" program. Habitat provides homeowners with financial and homeownership counseling, opportunities to work on their own home, and homeownership with a payment they can afford.

Maintains all streets, avenues, alleys, and city-owned parking lots within the city of Mobridge. Services include alley maintenance, right of way mowing, mowing city lots, sign replacements, snow removal, pothole repair, and street sweeping.

The annual Rake the Town event is a city-wide event involving community groups and individuals who are willing to help older adults with leaf raking within the Sioux Falls city limits, Harrisburg, Tea, and Brandon. Each conference seeks to serve the gaps in services in the communities they serve. Friends in need may be offered referral to other agencies, advocacy, or direct assistance: which may include utility bill and rent assistance payments, or clothing, food, pharmacy and transportation vouchers to meet basic, immediate and emergency needs.
