Mosaic Arts and Events (formerly known as Museum of Visual Materials) is an historic and LEED Platinum Green Building. Many children love the fun of attending summer camps, and children with special physical or medical challenges are no exception.Sanford Children's provides camps designed for children with specific challenges or illnesses. All camps take place at barrier-free locations and are staffed with Sanford Children's professionals to ensure children have a safe and fun experience. The 2026 Sanford Children's Summer Camps include Bring it On for children with cancer and pediatric cancer survivors, scheduled for June 21 - 27, 2026; and Spirit Camp for children diagnosed with spina-bifida set for July 12-18, 2026. Both camps will be held at Joy Ranch, eight miles northwest of Watertown, South Dakota. * While the dates have been scheduled for each camp, please note that these are subject to change.

The Old Courthouse Museum was Minnehaha County's first courthouse, built in 1889 with a 165 foot clock tower. NeSoDak specializes in summer youth programs, including 1-2-3 camps (two nights) for elementary youth, half-week and week-long camps for middle school through junior high youth, Servant Journey and adventures camps. Klein Ranch - Klein Ranch is a unique camp that offers youth the opportunity to begin to stretch their boundaries, and abilities, as they ride horses on 2,300 acres of Wild West ranch country. Campers can spend a week exploring the prairie on horseback and participating in other activities, such as hiking the mini badlands, having an overnight campout, playing games and more. Through the camp's small group community, youth strengthen their identity and gain depth in their faith. At Klein Ranch, youth also develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and for others as they care for the animals at the camp. Outlaw Ranch - Located amongst granite outcroppings in the southern Black Hills, Outlaw Ranch is open year round, offering summer youth camps, family camp, year round retreats for youth and adults, as well as hosting business gatherings and family reunions. Programs include statewide youth camps, rural and economic development course for high schools, rural and economic development course for community members, and young producers conference for those from SD currently farming.

The museum provides classes and camps for children ages 3 - 12 years of age, special sensory-friendly play opportunities for families that need a low-sensory play environment, and free play in the museum exhibits. Exhibits, both inside and outside, are broad-based to include science, engineering, art, literature, culture, geography, and history.
