Amenities vary by each park and include playgrounds, picnic shelters, basketball court, sand volleyball, baseball field, softball field, track field, skate park, tennis court, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, disc golf course, and open skating.

Sioux Falls has three skate parks: Drake Springs Skate Park, Kuehn Park, and Barb Iverson Skate Plaza. Only skateboards, inline skates, and BMX bikes allowed. No other wheeled devices of any kind are allowed within the skate park. Also includes Kidney Springs (water fountain) and The Fall River Freedom Trail (goes from Mueller Civic Center to Chautauqua Park) Park Amenities include playground area, shelters with picnic tables, restrooms, skateboard park, tennis court, basketball court, softball field, and soccer field. Welcome Park Court is available for food truck vendors to use.
