The Healthy Living program consists of adult activities, group fitness, personal training, and a wellness center. They include: Rails Strength & Fitness - constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity, Group Fitness - more than 100 classes a week that are included in membership including specialty fitness classes, InBody Consultation - Body composition assessments for those ages 12+, Personal Training - staff can create a personalized training and nutrition regimen, Wellness Center - cardio equipment and weight equipment, and Lap and Open swim pool schedule/Swim lessons.

City Administrator - is the funnel for information between the City Council, City Staff, and State and Federal agencies. The City Administrator assists in the preparation of the annual City budget, recommends policy directions to the City Council, oversees long range planning, directing the activities of city departments and carries out all other duties as prescribed. Finance Office is responsible for managing the fiscal affairs of the City. This includes monitoring accounting services, cash and asset management, payroll, financial reporting and utility billing. City utilities include water, sewer and garbage collection services. Public Works department oversees the maintenance of the streets, alleys, storm sewer, water and sewer systems, rubble site and airport. Provides recreation activities to the citizens of Vermillion through the parks and trails system, recreational facilities, meeting and event space, Bluffs Golf Course, and Prentis Park Pool including swim lessons, swim team practices and meets, and free wading pool. The City of Brookings is responsible for the planting, care and maintenance and removal / replacement of trees on public property, including city boulevards, parks and schools. Parks Department - builds and maintains the parks in the Brookings Park system, comprising over 640 acres. Provides water, sewer, and natural gas services to the residents of Garretson, SD. Serves as point of contact for the city officials including Mayor, council members, finance officer, utilities superintendent, building inspector, and city attorney (the city attorney cannot represent private parties or give them legal advice). A variety of tourism and recreation opportunities are available including Split Rock Park, Devil's Gulch, Palisades State Park, Garretson Museum, River Ridge Golf Course, Baseball/Softball Complex, and the Garretson Swimming Pool.

Maintains parks, lake access and green space areas. Manages the City of Mitchell Urban Forest, and provides and maintains sports fields and facilities, and also provides recreational programming for all ages and abilities.
