Storybook Island is an admission free children's theme park. The park is filled with sets that portray characters form various children's stories, fables and nursery rhymes.

Game, Fish, and Parks has information on fishing, boating, canoe and kayak, and aquatic invasive species across the state as well as Life Jacket Loaner Program, Fishing regulations, Boating roles and regulation, and Tools for fishing.  Life Jacket Loaner Program rents life jackets for free that can be loaned out for up to two weeks at a time. The program is designed to educate the public about life jacket wear and safety and provides a way to get life jackets to those who need them. Life jackets are required by state law for every person aboard a watercraft.

Finance Responsible for managing the fiscal affairs of a city, town, or township. Responsibilities varies by jurisdiction but generally include budget development and monitoring, accounting services, cash and asset management, payroll, contract administration, grants management and financial reporting. Crazy Horse Memorial, home of the world's largest mountain sculpture in progress, is in the Black Hills of South Dakota on U.S. Highway 16/385 just 17 miles southwest of Mount Rushmore. The Memorial started June 3, 1948 to honor the heritage, traditions and living cultures of American Indian people of North America.

Sioux Falls has six ice rinks around the city. Each ice rink has a warming house, limited concessions, vending and skate rentals available. Hours may change, subject to weather. Hours of operation are for the warming house. Those who have their own skates are welcome to skate during normal park hours. **Parents of small children should be especially aware of weather conditions and warming house hours before leaving children at the outdoor rinks when weather conditions are extreme. Sioux Falls has two Hockey Rinks, both are 200' x 85' regulation-size ice rinks with the light levels up to outdoor hockey lighting standards. The SD State Fairgrounds encompasses 190 acres and 90 plus buildings and is available for rent for a variety of special events throughout the year. The fairgrounds is home to the South Dakota State Fair which takes place annually always ending on Labor Day. The fair is a showcase for agriculture and 4-H featuring educational exhibits, livestock shows, live entertainment, carnival, food and fun. The fairgrounds also plays host to several annual events including the Wheel Jam, the SD BBQ Championships, livestock events, and horse events.

City Administrator - is the funnel for information between the City Council, City Staff, and State and Federal agencies. The City Administrator assists in the preparation of the annual City budget, recommends policy directions to the City Council, oversees long range planning, directing the activities of city departments and carries out all other duties as prescribed.
