The campus includes multiple performance spaces; Summit Arena, Barnett Fieldhouse, Ice Arena, the Fine Arts Theatre. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation maintains and operates more than 3,400 acres of parkland, made up of: Aquatic facilities: The Midco Aquatic Center, five outdoor facilities, one wading pool and two spray parks. These facilities offer swimming lessons, water fitness, and other fun recreational pool events. In 2025, Parks and Recreation will add a new facility with a 25-yard saline-based pool and warm water pool and other recreation space at Tea-Ellis. More than 80 parks and more than 36 miles of connected, paved trail for running, walking, biking through Sioux Falls. There are also numerous hiking and walking trails located in parks. Falls Park: The City's namesake is an international location. Every winter it's lit up with thousands of lights for Winter Wonderland. In 2025, the Park will add Jacobson Plaza and Lloyd Landing in the south end of the park. Various Parks amenities including archery, baseball fields, outdoor basketball courts, disc golf courses, football fields, golf courses, ice ricks, hockey rinks, lacrosse fields, tennis and pickle ball courts, mini-pitches, shelters, pickle ball courts, rugby pitch, soccer fields, softball fields, tennis courts, skate parks, indoor and outdoor volleyball courts, a winter recreation area, and off-leash dog parks, reservable band shells, and reservable picnic shelters, the Battleship Memorial.​ The forestry team nurtures more than 54,000 trees in the City's urban forest. Recreation Division oversees athletic facilities and special events and provides more than 900 program experiences every year like music, theater, tours, sport leagues, playground programming, outdoor programming, programs for toddlers to seniors. Oversight of third-party attractions on park land including: Great Bear Recreation Park, Levitt at the Falls, Sioux Falls Zoo & Aquarium, Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum, Prairie Green, Kuehn, and Elmwood golf courses, Falls Park Visitors Center and Overlook Café.

Sioux Falls has six ice rinks around the city. Each ice rink has a warming house, limited concessions, vending and skate rentals available. Hours may change, subject to weather. Hours of operation are for the warming house. Those who have their own skates are welcome to skate during normal park hours. **Parents of small children should be especially aware of weather conditions and warming house hours before leaving children at the outdoor rinks when weather conditions are extreme. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by someone 16 years of age or older. Locations are: Campus Park Frank Olson Park McKennan Park Memorial Park Sherman Park Tuthill Park Hours of Operation: Closed for the season - Watch for details, opening winter 2024. Sioux Falls has two Hockey Rinks, both are 200' x 85' regulation-size ice rinks with the light levels up to outdoor hockey lighting standards.
