Manages the City of Mitchell Urban Forest, and provides and maintains sports fields and facilities, and also provides recreational programming for all ages and abilities. The Parks and Recreation department manages the Mitchell Recreation Center and Indoor Aquatic Center, that provides fitness and recreational opportunities to the public as well as the outdoor aquatic center. The Parks and Recreation department also manages Lakeview Municipal Golf Course, an 18-hole municipal facility.

Provides a 9-hole public golf course in Beresford, South Dakota. On-site amenities include a full-service bar, snack bar, driving range, and putting green. Hosts tournaments. Offers golf instruction. Maintains golf leagues including a Senior Men's League, Evening Men's League, Wednesday Morning Ladies' League, and Evening Women's League.

Provides 18-hole golf course with a par 71 layout, features a variety of different par 3s, 4s, and 5s, hosts tournaments, and offers golf lessons from a professional golf instructor. Overseen by the City of Brandon Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department.
